Our everyday actions
CONCRETE CHOICES AT EVERY STEP
our actions in detail
Packaging, recycling, transportation: our efforts also extend to everything that accompanies our collections. In each of these areas, we’re improving our practices through concrete choices suited to our business.
IMPROVING OUR PACKAGING
The packaging we choose and how we use it are among the areas where we are taking action. Whenever possible, we favor recycled or certified materials and seek to extend the life of our packaging.
Our paper packaging is FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified. This certifies that the fibers used come from sources that meet FSC requirements for responsible forest management and traceability.
Our protective packaging is made from 100% GRS (Global Recycled Standard) certified recycled plastic. This certification helps ensure the traceability of recycled materials throughout the supply chain. Using an existing material helps reduce the need for virgin plastic.
Our shipping boxes are designed to be used more than once. They can be reused for future shipments, extending their useful life.
GIVING OUR PACKAGING A NEW LIFE
At our warehouse, used cardboard boxes and plastic packaging are sorted and then compacted with a baler. SUEZ then collects them and sends them to appropriate facilities for recycling and recovery.
PRIORITIZE SEA FREIGHT
In 2025, 94% of the volume of our international shipments to France was transported by sea. We favor this mode of transport to limit our use of air freight as much as possible. Per unit of goods transported, shipping by sea generates significantly fewer greenhouse gas emissions than air transport.
KEEP MOVING FORWARD
Doing better takes time. Materials, craftsmanship, packaging, transportation: we refine our choices as we learn, aiming to prioritize concrete, measurable actions whenever possible. We want to keep making progress, season after season, without losing sight of what has guided Grace & Mila from the start: creating desirable, quality pieces at a fair price.
